I need help. I'm studying anat & phys at uni and have no idea what i'm doing. the assignment question is as follows. If someone could help me with a mind map which includes headings only, that would be enough to get me going.

Discuss the respiratory system and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (smoking disease loss of elastic recoil & airway restriction)

You may choose to discuss some or all of: how the lungs are ventilated, what happens to the airways in disease, how respirometry is used in diagnosis. You could discuss the respiratory membrane and what effect partial pressures of the gases in air have on gas exchange, and on the oxygen saturation of haemoglobin. You could include how the body monitors the amount of CO2 the body, the effects of too much CO2 (or too little oxygen) and how your body tries to cope.

Any help much appreciated. Email me at uni if you like ire0036@flinders.edu.au
