Researching poss causes of blood gas workup on room air showing that I do not take in enough oxygen when I breathe, and my body does not expel enough carbon dioxide.
Oxygen rich is supposed to come from the air we breathe into the lungs, to bloodstream, and be carried to organs and cells throughout the body, including the heart via hemoglobin. Hemoglobin reacts in lungs with CO2 and transports CO2 for release into the environment.
I would like to understand/identify cause, implications, etc.
Non-smoker exposed to second hand smoke, but at least one doc has stated with confidence that this was not the result of second hand smoke. Most simply discount results b/c common in smokers and only about 1 person in 100,000 has same results and is a NON-smoker.
Pulmonary Function test and echocardiagram gave no helpful information.
Thank you in advance for any thoughts/assistance.
