Hi!

I'm searching online, and every source I can find, as well as posting threads like this one on every related forum on the web to try to find the answer to this elusive question:

What is the world's largest map?

I've been reasearching this for about a year, and have dozens of good candidates. But everytime I think I've found most of them, more pop up. I'm very familiar with the difficulty in diffining the word "map"; especially within the context of this challenge. Most of the largest such candidates for this title stretch the very definition of "map." (Such as the kilometer-long "Taman Mini" a representation of the Indonesian Islands in a Jakarta Theme Park. Or the 120ft in diameter Unisphere globe in Queens, NY.) But other cartographic pieces that more conservatively conform to the definition are a bit smaller (such as the 6,000 square foot map of British Columbia created by George Challenger.)

Is anyone out there who may have some input to this query?

-Thanks!
-Steve

Just a guess, but I'm going to say the Earth. It's a 1:1 representation. Very Happy
