| how long can I expect the disinfectant to continue making my water smell like bleach? Its strong...the well driller didn't tell me anything, they just left when it was and hooked up. (professional, eh?) |

| It's commonplace to dump a few gallons of bleach down the hole after drilling. I'd run the water for several hours from an outside hose. The bleach is used because all the drill pipe, the casing and all the human handling of equipment could contaminate the water. |
