Great Britain has moved around the planet, so explaining where the ancient fault lines and volcanoes are located may sound a bit strange. Geographically located near and at the equator at various times, experiencing numerous ice ages, and being under water kind of make this a difficult topic to explore. There is debate that GB was even bombarded with meteor fallout from a meteor that hit in Canada. It is interesting to read about.

Silurian Period
Fault Lines - Northeast to Southwest across Scottland
Volcanoes - Mendip Hills and in Pembrokeshire

Devonian Period
Volcanoes - Ben Nevis

Paleogene Period (63 to 52 ma)
Major volcanic eruptions - formed the Antrim Plateau adn the basaltic columns of the Giant's Causeway. Lunday Island was formed.
